It is with sadness and the fondest of memories that we acknowledge the passing of Isaiah “Boo Boo” Negrete. Isaiah worked alongside his father, the celebrated tattooist Freddy Negrete, at Shamrock Tattoo in Hollywood, California. Boo Boo began apprenticing under Freddy in his early teens, shaping cues from his father’s famous approach to black and grey realism into a take on fine line tattooing that was completely his own. Isaiah will be remembered as a luminary within the tattoo community and a permanent fixture of the Los Angeles scene. While we have no doubt that his virtuosic body of work will endure in the years to come, we would also like to honour the beautiful and compassionate person that he is. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends.
